Cecelia Perez, the Chicana artist behind Hey Ruca, is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and works in illustration, merchandise design and cultural curation. She has collaborated with the MLB, the NBA, McDonald’s and Modelo, and her work has been recognized by the Smithsonian, Yale, the University of New Mexico, SACNAS and the de Young Museum. Through Hey Ruca she builds cultural awareness and bridges the arts with educational pipelines for the next generation of creators.
